Anyone have any idea about when to expect this? I’m looking to get a new sedan within the next couple of months, just not sure if I should go for the current Slavia or wait a while for the facelift. I’m in no hurry per se but at the same time I don’t want to end up waiting more than a year for this. I don’t really care about the ADAS suite but a 360 camera is something that I’m definitely looking forward to!

Most likely the launch would be around the festive season start.
There was also a rumor that Skoda may look at Diesel for Kushaq and Slavia.
I don't see a camera/radar at front and neither a 360deg camera. So if this is really the final facelift, then no hopes for either.
On the contrary, this might be a powertrain update and the best it can be is the 1.5 EVO2 engine with mild hybrid and an 8 speed torque converter AT :D Quite a googly right? My hunch is based on international developments where the DQ200 is seeing a sun down after many years of service and being replaced by TC AT in the Jetta. Hence the same trend could follow, given the 1.5L powertrain is imported and they would have to go with global updates.

Or it could just be a Monte Carlo edition looking at the black alloys.
The chances of bringing mild hybrid could be rare considering it's just bring introduced with the latest gen Kodiaq and Superb. Skoda's mild hybrid could shoot up the cost a lot with already high cost compared to the competitors.

With the current gen EVO2 engines in the horizon, I really hope they bring that to the table with this facelift. It will be more than a facelift at that point.
The best thing about EVO2 is that it is hybrid compliant and that is a win in my opinion. Imagine a strong hybrid with these engines ;)

Spot on! the global updates should translate to both 1.0 and 1.5TSI range of cars.
The notable revisions to the 1.0 TSI engines includes a bump of 6Bhp much earlier in the rpm range and 30Nm of torque! They have made the most changes to the 1.0TSI powertrain.

If I read it correctly, the evo2 updated 1.0TSI will get Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). Hoping that will improve the low end torque below 2k RPM. I'm no expert but the current ea211 1.0 tsi has a fixed geometry turbo I think. For me this will be the singular biggest update on the 1.0 engine.

Looks like I was wrong - I originally thought that the current 1.0TSI EA211evo engine in vw2.0 cars had a fixed geometry turbo and that evo2 changes it to VGT, but apparently current 1.0TSI engines already have a VGT turbo charger !
It will be nice if the evo2 improves the low end torque below 2k RPM. The current engine has enough power in the top end for even 20-30kmph above legal expressway speeds in our country. Reducing the lag below 2k RPM will make this engine a wonderful all rounder.
Hi All, I am a new member. I took delivery of my Slavia 1.0 AT on 29th June 2024. I have shifted from 2021 Hyundai Creta MPI manual a pseudo SUV to Skoda family. Its a transition from earth to heaven. Absolute dead performance of hyundai engine and convience of an automatic compelled me to move to Skoda slavia. All I miss is hyundai's AC performance.
My Sales representative at Skoda said that facelift spied is a monte Carlo version of slavia and no change in design language hence cant call it a facelift.
Skoda Slavia facelift coming this festive season along with Kushaq. Kushaq to be launched first followed by Slavia before its new Compact SUV arrives in Jan-2025.
Slavia and Kushaq will bring in quite a few cosmetic tweaks and tech updates.
Slavia facelift to sport changes to bumpers, headlights and front grille
Expected to get more equipment like an ADAS suite
No mechanical changes are expected.
Kushaq facelift will adopt a connected lighting theme for both its headlamps and tail lamps, something that’s becoming an increasingly common design theme on cars across all segments.
Kushaq will benefit from a new Olive Green exterior paint shade.
Quote:
The headlamps will see mild reprofiling, the grille will be a tad wider, and there will be repositioned chrome bits. Additionally, there are also talks of connected headlamps like the ones seen on the Hyundai Verna. At the back, there will be mild changes to the tail-lamps, which will not get a connected element. On the inside, expect minor cosmetic changes and more equipment, depending on variant.

Hi, the link shared says that the facelift is launching in
Sept 2025, but as per your post and couple of posts above, it is expected this festive season. Which one is true? I am in market to replace my Rapid 1.6TDI. Slavia is not giving me an upgrade as the feel is same on the inside. Yes, I get DSG and some cosmetic features compared to Rapid, but no big novelty factor. As for Kushaq, it feels like a downgrade in space.
In case I go for Slavia and a facelift with ADAS is launched almost immediately, I will be disappointed.
The other option I have is a proper upgrade and from a different segment altogether - XUV7OO AX7 AT (DSL). Price drop is also tipping the scale in its favor even though I have to stretch the budget and loan a bit. Other factor I am considering is the running costs with fuel efficiency coming into picture
So need some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I have recently bought a slavia 1.0 AT I am loving every bit of it and best past is the manual over ride function. I think I have become an F1 driver who is always up shifting with paddle shifters and car does the down shifting for me.
Its joy of driving an automatic with an manual override. You need to test drive this feature for sure. Best part of slavia compared to XUV 700 is it’s so easy to maneuver.
My cousin owns and XUV 700 lovely car to drive at high speed and sports mode is joy on the ghats (always on high revs). But in city he jumps to eco mode or probably he is compelled to use eco mode to get a good mileage. So what is the use of taking such a powerful machine and using the eco mode for most of the city driving.
Same is with my another cousins who drives a harrier in an eco mode.
You need to decide. Do you want such a big car?
1.5 DSG will give you the same performance and better FE with cylinder deactivation system over an above you will always have huge power surge on standby.
I personally would prefer a compact car for better city driving.
In auto industry prices are ever increasing on monthly basis (not literally). So waiting will probably get you features but pricing could be a let down. On my current purchase I got an excellent deal and that excites me even more of my purchase of a Skoda/VAG
Ambition variant has all the useful features if budget is an issue.
All the best.

Was there in a similar position, replacing my old vento (1.6 MPI AT). The kushaq/taigun felt a bit smallish esp. coming from vento.
The size of Slavia(1.5 DSG) felt good & though the interiors are not upto the same quality as the one from older generations, it is certainly not too shabby.
The highlight of the car is its engine/transmission. It is just pleasurable to drive & puts a smile on my face everytime. The sports mode is a pleasure to drive and they have done an excellent job in making sure the rpms are in turbo land. The 'D' mode works well to give decent mileage in city (compared to my older vento), but it will be quite bad for you coming from diesel.
I will admit, this is not a super big upgrade, more of a sideway buy with slightly better pull with turbo kicking in. Frankly, there is actually not many cars that feel like an upgrade unless the spend is more than 40+ lakhs. The dearth of good driver's car for someone coming from VW/Skoda in 20-30L range is virtually absent barring the VW/Skoda sedans.
They are talking about bringing in Octavia, but given how the Superbs are priced, it will probably be priced north of 35L(all up).

I took test drive of 1.0 AT Slavia and 1.5 DSG Slavia about 1.5 months back. I felt slight jerkiness in 1.0 AT in bumper to bumper traffic. The car was on normal drive mode and not sports.
Pros for Slavia- The dual tone interiors of Slavia (beige + black combo) looks classy and brings airy feeling in side the cabin. The seat base and back are in black, so it be easy to keep the seats looking cleaner
The front reminds me of previous gen Octavia somewhat
1.5 DSG with active cylinder tech which can help to give better mileage on highways. Smooth DSG shifts.
SUV cannot beat drivability of a sedan, unless it is a Lamborghini or has stiff suspensions

I have not experienced Rapid in real life. However, Slavia looks longer than Rapid and seems to have more space.
Did you feel Slavia provides more interior space compared to your Rapid?
I would suggest you try VW Virtus also. It is the same gearbox, but different interiors and button placements. For example, rear parking camera button, ventilated seat button, start/stop button, floating infotainment (in Slavia) vs in-dash integrated infotainment (in Virtus). See which one suits you better on day-to-day basis ergonomically.
If I remember, Slavia has a small storage space on right side of steering which is missing in Virtus.
Slavia has the same dual-tone interiors for 1.0 as well as 1.5, while Virtus has light interior for 1.0 and dark interiors for 1.5. The dual tone interiors of Slavia make the cabin feel better.

Just booked a current version of the Slavia. This news comes at the wrong time! Darn you, Skoda :/ |
Going by their past launches, I'm expecting this to come around Diwali 2025. Unless Skoda India decides to surprise us, this year I'm only expecting their new sub 4 metre SUV launch.
