Since you already drive the GLC 300 with the more powerful 258 HP tune of the Mercedes 4 Cylinder petrol engine, I feel you may find the E 200 rather lethargic. It is a much larger car and deserves a more powerful engine. Since you drive 50% of the time, having a responsive power train is very important, especially when you spend over a crore of rupees on a German steed. Even if you do not regularly drive fast, it is always good to know that you can make that rapid overtake once in a while.

If you are keen on the new E class, I would advise you to take a look at the E450, which has a much more powerful and highly advanced six cylinder petrol. You get the added bonus of the 4Matic, for that once in a blue-moon, tricky situation. It is only about 20% more expensive than the E 200 and deliver 50% more in terms of content and value.

Hey thanks for the advice, sounds good I agree on the power front. Do you think keeping the GLC and getting the A6 demo car (6K km) at 59L on road with 5 year warranty and 2 service pack would be a good option for a second car? a brand new is for 68L right now on road after all discounts. Also a new 330Li sport pro is for 68L new.

Mod Note: Our BMW 5 Series LWB (G68) Review has been taken live at this link. Please continue the discussion over on the new thread. Thanks!
