Please read my comment properly. I didn’t say anything about CNG leaking out and catching fire. I said the cylinder itself is under extremely high pressure so sufficient external impact from an accident could immediately cause an explosion from the gases suddenly escaping.



Something like this is what I’m referring to. Crash tests of CNG equipped vehicles would provide some interesting data.
