Fantastic looks... being 2 generations old....it still has some awesome road presence...A treat for Merc Lovers!!
I like the current W211 .though lacks interior space.
The lines are rather sleek and have good potential for cosmetic mods
Somehow I dont like the shape of tata Mercedes I guess tats the W124.
it solid built , but lools a bit bland from the side and rear.
The front is rather muscular.
If we talk abt rock built, then I would die for the old gen S classes
specillay the 560 SEL , 300 SE ( coz i have seen them on Mumbai roads)

Surprised you say this, since the 560SEL (W126) and the E220/250 (W124) have the same design cues. Probably the Indian spec version puts you off due to wheel caps, high profile rubber and the increased stance.
You should see an imported 300D W124 or something. Marvelous to look at.

The most I liked was the 300 SE (now can u tell me ehat the W number for it ,

Depends which 300 SE. Can you post a picture? Was available in quite a few generations

Old S320? That could only be the W140.

the 300 SE I am talking abt has the tailight design like that of Maybach
i.e a single strip below the taillight linking the two taillights.
W124 for me too.
Well,i'll take the W211 just for its solid built and the road presence.I personally am not a vintage person,but i dunt really mind goin for this one......
