This is the first YouTube video of C3 Automatic I have seen. It's on display in the Gurgaon showroom as per the channel. Sharing the Youtube link below

Couple of notable features which I was expecting are

Basalt AT commands a premium of ₹1.3L over it's manual counterpart, so we can expect the C3 to also have a similar premium.

Since C3 Shine is priced between ₹8.45L-₹9.42L, C3 AT can be priced between ₹9.75L-₹10.72L.

This is excellent news. I think the automatic c3 would be the perfect City run about car. No nonsense, quick, well engineered, comfortable and with the AISIN 6 speed gearbox it's convenient too. This should have been the launch c3 got the first time around.

The Citroen C3 presents a compelling alternative to the Tata Punch and Maruti Fronx, both of which are currently experiencing strong sales. Unfortunately, the introduction of key features and AT gearbox for the C3 has come too late, making it challenging for the model to recover from its initial setbacks.

That said, the C3 excels as a city car, boasting a robust turbocharged engine, excellent suspension, and a well-designed 6-speed automatic transmission—superior to the AMT systems found in its competitors.

To regain market momentum, Citroen should focus on aggressively advertising the Basalt and building desirability for its products. Drawing customers into showrooms is essential, and increased attention to the C3 would naturally follow. See how Punch despite have poor QC (my personal take, no offence to owners) is able to sell 15000 units a month.

For those seeking a fun-to-drive city car, the C3 Turbo AT makes a strong case for itself.

I tried to contact the La Maison Citroen Coimbatore dealer to book the updated C3 Shine Turbo Automatic and was surprised to find that the showroom had closed down and had been converted to an MG dealership.
They asked me to contact the Jeep dealership as Citroen sales has been shifted over to Jeep. This seems to be the case across multiple cities atleast here in Tamil Nadu.

When I contacted the Jeep dealer, they confirmed that they handle Citroen as well but the sales person had no idea about any of the updates to the C3 and said they aren't accepting any bookings at the moment. There seems to be serious lapses in communication between Citroen and their dealers which makes one question their future in India.

They're well engineered cars that lacked the equipment our market demands. Now that they've fixed it to a good degree, I really wish Citroen strengthens their sales and service network with the adequate training and marketing, else they're sure to face the same fate as their sister brands Peugeot and Fiat.

I have been in constant touch with the sales executive from Coimbatore Citoren (SGA Jeep basically). He updates me time to time, not sure why the sales executive who you contacted has no information about updates.

There seems to be only 1 variant (Top variant - Shine) offered with the torque converter automatic.

And that variant has 3 options

Shine (single tone) - Rs. 9,99,800
Shine (dual tone) - Rs. 10,14,800
Shine (dual tone) with Vibe Pack - Rs. 10,26,800

I had requested the dealer in Hyderabad for quote and he sent me the price list below.



I don't think the vibe pack and the dual tone variants make any sense whatsoever!
Just for a paintjob and some plastic cladding, no one is going to shell out Rs. 58,000 or Rs. 73,000 more!

They should have had better pricing spread.

But the non-vibe non-dual tone variant is excellent value for money. It only misses on cosmetic stuff. All the practical and useful features of the top variant are present.

I'm very curious to take a test drive and find out how it is.

My father's Alto K10 is ageing (10 years old) and he's finding it difficult to get in and out and also the manual transmission is taking a toll on his knees. This Citroen C3 Automatic seems like a good comfortable replacement.

Will update here if I find it worthy.
