i think this is abt the better designer.
so a car falling or not falling apart does not matter here.
i vote for chris bangle.
regarding DC,most of his designs are crap.DC suckkkkks

In my opinion, vehicle integrity is one of the most important parts of car designing. Hence, I passed that comment.
If it's just looks that we are talking about, we can call these guys stylists.

DC makes Bangle look good. Wonder who pays DC to do what he does. I know this is a subjective discipline but even in my most tolerant moods I have not liked one of the DC designs I have seen. You must give DC for his marketing though. He has put Indian car design on the map. Many years ago another person of Indian descent did tha same to audio (Dr. Amar Bose). Mr. Gates, Dr. Bose and Mr. Bangle have proved that you dont need to have a ciritically acclaimed product to be successful. Just great patent attorneys, superb marketing, and the will/ego to be monopolistic (a bit of timing/luck too).

Yesterday, on the way to Mumbai I saw the new 5 series BMW in the flesh, up close...

Man is it ugly... both the front and rear end are enough to scare you on a dark and
stormy night. The side profile is ok, if you squint your eyes and ignore the ugly headlamps.
There is something about the styling, shape of the lights and the ugly rear end that
I'm not "getting"... maybe in a few years I will start appreciating the "beauty" of that
vehicle

There seems to be some kind of a mystical connection between the 5 series
and the other ugly car, the New Honda City!
