Mahindra has invested more than Rs 300 crore to set up the new test facilities. The carmaker said that these facilities will be used to test the safety of its SUVs at various load cases and research future cell technologies.

R Velusamy, President of Automotive Technology & Production Development at Mahindra, stated that the new test facilities will complement MRV, where new products are developed, and the Mahindra SUV Proving Track (MSPT), where vehicles are tested under various conditions.

He added that the highly sophisticated labs will enable Mahindra engineers to develop safer and more sustainable products.
