Pre-bookings for MG M9 electric MPV are now open

JSW MG Motor India has commenced pre-bookings for the M9 electric MPV. Customers can book the car by paying a token amount of Rs 50,000 at their nearest MG dealership.



The MG M9 was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. It is essentially the MG Mifa 9 that is available in the international market.

The M9 has a boxy design with power-sliding rear doors. It has 3-row seating for up to 7 people and comes equipped with reclining ottoman seats that are ventilated and have a massage function, 3-zone automatic climate control, dual sunroofs, and rear seat entertainment screens.

The MG M9 is powered by a single electric motor and a 90 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 430 km on a single charge.

They claim 460km with a 50KW in ZS EV. Even after taking into consideration that this is a different league of vehicle, the claimed range of M9 seems to be much lower considering its power pack.

I can’t quite wrap my head around the design. Isn’t this looking like a cheap Vellfire?

Atleast Gloster and Hector had their own design characteristics.

This is Kia Syros front married to a Velfire rear. But nevertheless, it looks like it means business!! And being an MG, am sure this one will be loaded.

There are plenty of car models that look a lot like Vellfire. Especially from Honda and Toyota. These are basically luxury mini-van category with a lot of chrome elements.
