resale is usually an imp factor in choosing a car !
( just watt i think )

manson .

atleast one proud owner of a legendary car offered at a throwaway price

well anshuman
there are 3 proud petra owners on this site...
hey GTO..
i agree
resale isnt an imp factor for me too ...
earlier it was but now no car has any resale value...
for eg
a 4 year old zen in good cond can be sold for 1.6 but after 2 more years of use the price goes down to 1.2 - 1.3 irrespective of the mileage...
i would rather buy cars that last well and give fewer problems then a car which gives more problems just because its resale value is 20 - 30 k higher .
eg - accents resale value is 20 - 30k more than the ikon of a same vintage .
from what i have seen an accents FE is lower than the ikon
the ikon is 20 - 30k cheaper than the accent
from experience the ikon gives less problems then my jijajis viva which is newer , has run fewer km and both are chaeffuer driven in mumbai and to top it off my sis learnt how to drive in my ikon ...
so in away the ikon is better value for money than the accent and its more comfortable in the backseat also ...
in a similar way the petra is a better buy then the other cars in its segment ....
that is as long as the company pays for the fuel or else it i just a wee bit more expensive
