Mahindra is going in the right direction. Affordable hybrids are what the market needs now. I think this will be the first hybrid vehicle from a full-Indian manufacturer.

Lets just hope it is a proper strong hybrid and not something like the micro hybrid that Mahindra used to offer in the old scorpio.

Hi, while I don't want to be negative on this news, but 3XO has 295 litre boot space and if the put strong hybrid there, it will be reduced to around 95 litre. Hope they increase the length to atleast make the boot space close to 295 litre.

I don't think so they'll increase the length, as it'll affect the taxation. Anything above 4m will attract a higher slab.

Or am I missing something? Are strong hybrids taxed differently? I don't think so looking at GV and Hyryder Hybrid twins.

Strong hybrid will be taxed differently (higher), so it should remain unbound by the 4m rule.

That said, some states do offer free registration from strong hybrids. So, that benefit will be there.
