I think the Toyota is the best one here.Coz and it has the best engines in its class and is the most comfortable. You just can't go wrong with it coz its a Toyota.

Nope the Corolla isn't best here. Sure it has the best engine, but thats about it.

Where the Corolla loses out is in it's ride quality and handling. Even the build quality looks dull when compared to the Octavia.

I've driven all these cars and if it's driving pleasure you want, then you should try the Chevy Optra. It maybe low on power but it handles like no other in it's class.

For sheer straight line acceleration, nothing comes close to the Corolla.

And the Elantra is just another VFM car. But yeah it has the best ride quality at low speeds which in turn hampers it's handling at high speeds.

But the Octavia stands out as the overall winner here.

Regards...

Best engine / performance - Toyota Corolla
Best build / looks - Skoda Octavia
Best all rounder & my choice - Chevrolet Optra
If you were to put a Octavia 1.9TDi in this poll, that's the one I would take.

being a diesel head would prefer the skoda diesel automatic or the soon to be launched optra diesel

if by any chance in petrol it would be an automatic optra or a skoda turbo charged petrol(soon to be launched)

From the above choices i think i'd go with the optra. Looks nice, quite spacious, ride is good, good cruiser & most of all thumping VFM. I think it'll do all what the others can at a lesser price. For adrenaline rush in straights its Corolla.

& like most others my pick would be the Octy 1.9TDi which isn't mentioned in the choices.

R U suggesting that the Optra is even less powered than the Octavia? I thought the Octavia was a tad underpowered.

well my list goes like this -
octavia diesel
then corolla
then optra
skoda petrol
last and the worst
the elantra

the corolla has a thing to it which makes it special to me.....
unlike the optra whose top of the line version appeases me the most

Out of the given list i would pick a Chevy Optra.... too good car IMO.
But, if the Octavia RS or the 1.9TDi, was present in the given list, i would have second thoughts...

Well...
Skoda is a close second for me.but loses out due to the rear seats.Too damn uncomfortable.
Hyundai,well....wud never even think bout it.
Toyota, good enough engine, but thats not all.
Optra,like the ride,engine and comfort.
Gimme an Optra anyday.
