I don't think these sticker jobs will impact sales of the City. They have to manufacture the hybrid locally and reduce the prices drastically to stay relevant in the market. The IVTEC can be on the lower variants. City and Elevate both need the hybrid desperately.

Slavia and Virtus have eaten up City's market share. It is no longer the aspirational purchase of an upper middle class guy. People have moved on to SUVs and mini SUVs. But if they really want to do something special, why not give it an enthusiast package with Turbo like the 1.5 Slavia?

There is nothing coming from Honda in terms of powertrains or new models till late 2026-early 2027. Thats official -

Till then, Honda India will have to rely on such sticker editions to stay in the news.

‘Amaze’ing company to be honest! Someone inform this gentleman that his designation and role itself is irrelevant.

On a serious note, if I were a part of the Hobda India ecosystem, I would be deeply worried about my future.

"A matter of timing?"? When your cars are doing around 700-1.5k units monthly? I seriously can't fathom what Honda is planning right now. If this situation isn't the correct moment, then when?

Re: Honda City Apex Edition launched at Rs 13.30 lakh

Should Honda have done away with its diesel in the city till it could introduce a turbo petrol in the city? Was that engine incompatible with the new norms? I believe it was already upgraded to BS VI norms. Is the hybrid really the substitute to diesel in the common perception?

Have been hearing that Hyundai is planning to reintroduce the 1.5 diesel in the Verna to recover the lost sales.
