Shaman Fiat gives way to Shaman Ford

Just read an advert in this mornings newspaper. The Fiat dealership at Prabhadevi Mumbai has shut shop and now they have opened up as Shaman Ford. Now is that the closure of another Fiat dealership and a sign of things to come for the Italian manufacturer?

I just hope this means that FIAT would open some company owned dealerships, but i'm sure that's not the case here....

I hope Shaman dosen't have the same staff marketing Ford cars as they had for Fiat. The attitude that they portrayed was far from impressive. Sometimes I wondered whether they were really interested in selling cars. If they continue to carry on the same way as before, it will be Ford's loss.
As for Fiat, I think it's going to be curtains for them. It's sad to see a fine product like the Palio face the consequences of the bad attitude of the dealers.

Well, would you as a dealer stock anything thats not selling? Whether its bread, clothes or cars...dealers want fast moving goods. And the Palio with hardly 200 odd cars sold in October (or was it November) aint a hot cake.

No surprise, when I saw the Shaman Fiat dealership in question being renovated...I knew theres going to be a different brand on display.

guys,
but will changing the brand make any difference.their way of working, their service personnel will be the same.

Fiat had made some changes with their top management,so lets hope that they come with a few company owned dealerships .it will be really a shame,if Fiat were to go the Daewoo way.lets pray it doesnt happen.

Fiat dealer at Surat was also rumoured to be closing fiat dealership & taking up Ford dealership.
The dealer however confirmed that he will be having both Fiat & Ford dealerships at different showrooms. His service workshop will be same. I hope this is true...I am aleady Fiat Petra 1.6 petrol owner.

What about the Shaman Ford showroom at Altomount road? Or do they have 2 ford showrooms now? And also, what about Shaman Fiat service center? They can keep that open. After all there is more money in servicing cars than selling them.
Anyway, if they have the same staff then Ford is doomed. With the kind of attitude and behavior the shaman fiat staff had, these guys wouldn't be able to sell a Maruti.
