1. Make the grille back (radiator)
2. Change the rear plastic cover (the one which has reversing and holds the numberplate) to either plain black or the red one with brake lights.
3. I dont think white seat covers go with the colour, but thats personal preference
4. 5 spoke alloys. Go for the imported kind which I have on my Esteem. You can get a set of 5 13" size for <Rs. 14,000

Hey aadix.. Here are some personal points from me to sport up u r car...make mirrors black...door handles black. Replace the rear plastic part with the lights of the last generation(my god..how can i call it generation) Esteem as GTO said..and even make the grille black.
Btw...is that an Esteem or a Maruti 1000??...when did it get the Golden Paint??

u can paint ur b-pillar black as in most newer cars ,and only the upper part of the bumper black.by upper part i mean the line which continues with ur side black strip.
getting tires is very important.
ur's seems to be the skinny 155/80r13 that previous esteems used to cum with.
u shud upgrade to the 175/70r13 that the esteems now have.185/65 r 13 is also a good upgrade.
u can change the entire brake light assembly to one of the present or the previous esteems.
and if possible fit a tacho.a simple pricol tacho wud cost u abt 800rs ,but its worth every paisa

thx guys,
this is a 1997 model esteem,we are the second owners, the first owner got it painted, planning to do most of the things mentioned,
but was wondering wheter to put alloys or not, instead was planning to change the tyres to 195/55(or50) potenzas( replacment one for oe size, dealer says will fit perfectly)
the covers are light grey velvet ones ,will put that fake black leather covers in few months,

first upgrades:
tachometer
lights/grill
side view mirrors
alloys or tyres

Yeh, the wheels look naked so either put alloys and if not then at least get the wheel covers back. And speedsatya, will a rs 800 tacho beof good quality and how much will the installation cost?

hey deeps,
Pricol is one of the best.i have the same one in my car since the last 3.5years.
and the installation takes abt 30 mins.and shud be a max of 100rs as its just abt connecting 3 wires .
and u might have to make a small hole on the dashboard to fix it.
getting more expensive Autometer ones with the shift lite will not help u in any way other than lightening ur wallet.
but if u can afford it ,then go the latest one with theoil press, water temp, voltage all in one .it costs abt 11k here in mumbai.and i cannot afford it

well most of them have already posted what you have to do

In addition, also polish the interiors. The plastic looks very faded.

Isn't the process risky if not done properly?
