Automotive Jobs in India????

HI Guys,

I couldn't find any better place than this for my query to be answered. My concern is regarding jobs in Automotive sector in India. Firstly i would like to give a brief intro about my educational background. Last year i completed Bachelors in Automotive Engineering and this year i have completed my masters in production and management. My query i regarding jobs in automotive sector in India.
I have been to various major OEM webstites but the career section either fails to open or there are no vaccanies for freshers. Could somebody really guide me about the placement agencies which deals in this particular sector.

Thanks

Amit

I also had the same query-

Currently, i am doing my final year B.Tech Degree in Automobile engineering. But seems most of the automobile companies invite applications from persons with experience only.

Any other options?

You could try for openings in one of the R&D setups of various manufacturers like Daimler and GM which are in India.

TATA, Leyland, Mahindra etc., pick B.tech freshers directly from campus. If you are looking off campus the path will be uphill. Sorry to dissapoint you, but unless the hiring manager is really desperate, fresher recruitment is mostly done from in campus.
In your case, the best would be consultants. Be aware that the first job you get will not be satisfying, and you may feel you have been short changed, but as you gain 2 years of experience, your desirability quotient grows and then you can pick and choose.

Most automotive companies recruit freshers on campus. Placement agencies generally are good when you have atleast 1+ years of experience. In any case, no harm in sending your CVs to them. Also, try the poplar jobsites like jobstreet, monster and job ahead. All the best

Well amit just like tsk1979 said you can get in a Automobile dealership as a consultant work there for close to a year and then move on to the factory or the service dept. One of my collegue in the place where i work joined as a sales consultant and after a year shifted the to Hyundai in their manufacturing unit!!
