plus a close friend has a stall so also got participant pass.

planning to be there for the 10th for press day and 11th for just roaming arround chatting with cars and bikes and if possible those hot babes posing. heh!

My GREAT University allowed our question paper to leak and so, the exam we had today has been postponed to 11th. No way I'll be able to make it to the meet.

what lousy luck. Was really looking forward to this.

Anyway, is it possible to have another smaller lunch meet or something after 11th ?

Well, if you got a mail specifying visitor idd number and saying tht this mail is valid for bussiness visitors all you have to do is to carry that registration form & at max carry your bussiness card and you would be given a bussiness entry pass free of cost than an there itself.

Mail specifyies that!!!

Let's be there at Business Hours on 11th Jan 08.

Please make a note of the Exhibition time table given below while you plan your visit to Auto Expo 2008.

Timings Visitor Category
9th - 10th January, 2008 : 1000 - 1900 Hrs (Only Media / Press Personnel will be allowed).

11th, 14th, 15th, 16th & 17th January, 2008 :
1000 – 1500 Hrs Business Visitors
1500 - 1900 Hrs General Visitors

12th - 13th January, 2008 :
1000 - 2000 Hrs Business & General Visitors.

Entry to the Exhibition Ground: Entry is allowed from Gate No. 2,5,7 & 8.
Vehicle Parking : Paid Parking facility is available on the in front of Gate No. 1 & 2 and also on the Mathura Road opposite to Gate No. 5 & 7.

p.s. - sorry just saw this has been posted earlier.

neways, it would be a good idea to not use these parkings and use any metro station close by and travel by the metro instead and wait for local newspapers on 9th or 10th to see travel routes and other parking arrangements at india gate. as per past experience, all designated parkings are peanuts and its a mad rush. even if u do manage to get space for your car, you won't be able to get it out when you want. and scowls n fights are common besides a criminal waste of time.

As far as temperatures in Delhi, to put things in perspective, it's -7 degrees centigrade right now

... which is several degrees warmer than what it was yesterday morning!

Nitrous, it's not the thickness of the sweater that matters but the layers of clothing (something to do with the insulating layer of air between each layer of clothing )that keeps you warm. So, wearing a half sleeve VIP baniyan, a long sleeve T-shirt, a regular long-sleeve shirt and a light jacket (jerkin) should keep you warm and toasty IMHO.

I am in for the 11th. Will be leaving for Ahmedabad on the 13th so late night on 11th is also no problem.

Though a question: I dont have a business card though i have got an appoitment letter from IBM. So can i still have spot registration for the expo. Or is it better to register online using IBM, or get my dad's business card.

Also if anyone going to expo or Faridabad at night from Hauz Khas please let me know.

Ok guys, here's the final plan:

We (Me, Zak & Steer) will reach the Auto Expo at 10-10:30am and if anyone wants to meet us there, they can join us either at the entrance or in one of the halls. Most of the Delhi guys have my number, however if you need it in case you need to contact me, please PM me for it. I will not post it in public.

After wards, once we're done, we'll leave the show around 4-5pm and make the final arrangements for the meet. Meet will start around 8-8:30pm and continue till whenever all of us want it to.

As for the weather, the forecasts seem to be grim, so I would suggest you guys be prepared for the worst.
