Sx4 sales will be flat as soon as Honda brings its New Model. Just Hope
they dont price it higher than the present model. Some people saying that
because of the Jazz/ Fit Hatchback Honda may price its new City slightly higher. Just hope that it doesn't happen!

1) The new Accord - May 2008

2) The Civic minor face lift - May/June 2008

3) The new NHC - October 2008.

Accord V6 not expected this year, will come in next year. And it still will not be offered in M/T.

No diesel option being considered for India as of now.

The Jazz should be out 2nd half of 2009 or early 2010.

IMHO perhaps you are right about all months (+/- 1/2 months is acceptable). Accord production is being phased out. Diesel option is definitely out.

Good News to all Honda City Fans!!! Honda is launching new model in August '08( Thailand). So hopefully it should launch in India in year End. Check the link given below!

All new Honda City modelchange in August 2008 in Thailand World Premier — AUTOinCAR

:thumbs up Wow, The most eagerly awaited release !!!
Finally, NHC has some competition rl:

Yeah!! Also expect a better looking City and all new engine! But i think it will
be priced on higher side because Jazz will also be launched in India( 6.5-8 lacs bracket )

Check out the car in this picture. The side panel and rear view mirror look very much like the city.

The car in picture is (or would be) a Honda Stream, which is based on the Civic platform, so is the all-new NHC going to be based as well on the Civic or a modified Civic platform ?

Let me clear the matter once for all - NHC is NOT 'Jazz with boot'. Though Jazz/Fit look similar & tech specs are also similar to NHC, NHC is built on sedan platform - please see the C-pillar :). Its not like Indigo or Dzire, where the boot is ATTACHED as an after thought :uncontrol.

compared to this design the jazz with boot would look sick sick as long as jazz is hatchback its fine but not as a sedan

That is a very logical thing to do. Even I was hearing from a friend in American Honda. Instead of getting the NHC they were actually getting a new model based on older trusted Civic platform. There are a lot of Honda fans who are complaining about the unHondaness of a few models, and its good that Honda is actually listening.

Most eagerly waiting for the Honda we knew.

AFAIK, Its not the C pillar alone which defines a platform difference.

The Jazz, The City and the Fit are all derived from Honda's "small car" platform so they share same chassis and engine variants.

My point is nobody stuck a boot to Jazz & made it NHC. NHC was designed to be a sedan.

It should be available in a month or so for sure.. expects a stunner design and package ;)

Enquired with ACE Honda dealer in Noida. They dont expect a newer model of the NHC for a year or so. According to them they have no information about the company launching a new NHC anytime soon.

The same dealers denied any knowledge of minor upgrades to NHC which happened twice now in late 2005 and the 10th anniversary edition. And they denied any such plans even couple of days before the launch. Either they want to keep pushing their existing stock or they simply are not aware.

My advise would be to ignore what dealers say, follow what happens in international markets and of course, stay in tune with TBHP. Not only will you have good information, you will have it much earlier too.

Veeeeeeery True...

Ignore all the dealer info from Maruti to Honda..
( My personal experience for last two years for all the new launches , upgrades for majority of the cars )

Stick to team-BHP , this where you will get latests and greatest for alll the news.

For i10 and now for dzire , I was telling all the info to hyundai , maruti guys in showrooms and they were like :Shockked:
