I disagree My Petrol Swift Vxi has taken me two months. There are three MSIL dealers in Coimbatore. I had booked through Ambal Auto. Ambal had been getting only 9 swift( P& D) per month in Jan and Feb. Now they say its way better. Swift Vdi is taking 3-5 months waiting period!

My son got his Zxi off the shelf from Abharan in Udupi in August 08. They happened to have his colour of choice. Mandovi had quoted a week at most. I hear of late things have deteriorated.

Guys its more to do with how good you are ready to push the dealer and look for a dealer who has your car available. When i was looking for a car for myself. I had a disucssion with 4 different dealers for swift VDi, and all 4 confirmed that they have vehicles ready for me. One dealer had 3 colours and 1 dealer had 2 colours.

I dont see any threat to Logan from Swift Sedan. I hope no one can compare the roomy interiors of Logan with the cramped space inside Swift.

Logan surely has roomy interiors but lets not forget that in that price range, especially diesel sedan options were less, just indigo to be precise. Logan would take a hit, how big that is what remains to be seen( they are updating their prices, so again Logan could come up with VFM car)

Maruti may have been deliberately producing fewer Swift Diesel's to make more Dzires where they are likely to have better margins. I was at a Chandigarh dealer who had been allocated 19 Diesel Dzires vs 2 petrol cars. Though Maruti is expanding the capacity of the Manesar plant, there seems to be a supply constraint for the Diesel engine where Maruti has to meet some export commitments as well.

Looks like Mahindra has changed the Logan pricing, thanks to the DZire

Are you sure? if it is, then, M&M has gone awry over Dzire's sudden blitz attack, so much that they might have mistakenly added the amount instead of subtracting ;)

Yes, If these are the prices now then I'm 100% sure that these are old ones on which there was no Special offer in which they reduced prices by upto 65k on different models.

Dont know how can they survive with hike
