merc cheaper in mumbai

i was just going through autocar in the new car buyer s section and found that merc are available cheaper in mumbai whereas all other cars are most expensive in mumbai ???????

c 220 cdi (auto) :
delhi : 27.26
mumbai : 27.40
kolkata : 28.53
chennai : 28.56
blore : 29.00

e 270 cdi :
delhi : 39.25
mumbai : 37.77
kolkata : 38.75
chennai : 39.33
blore : 40.36


ml 270 cdi :
delhi : 41.85
mumbai : 37.92
kolkata : 46.31
chennai : 43.59
blore : 50.00

s class :
delhi : 61.91
mumbai : 60.53
kolkata : 63.00
chennai : 63.06
blore : 62.00

sl 500 :
delhi : 97.88
mumbai : 85.53
kolkata : 93.26
chennai : 95.42
blore : 95.00


all these are ex-showroom prices
but why is it such a huge difference in pricing everywhere and it varies from model to model and price to price

A cool 10L difference b/w prices in Mumbai n B'lore for the SL500 and ML 270..... Phew!!!
For all the models(other than SL500 and S Class) its the costliest in B'lore!!!!! Wow!!

I wonder why cars are costliest in Bangalore, used cars too!! and even then there are record sales.. saw a 2002, Fiat Palio 1.2 with 45K km on ODO quoting at 2.75L and the same in Del/Mum is a lac cheaper if not more... :WTF: I wonder how they are still able to sell it...

am I the only island in the vast ocean of money in B'lore...
