2496 CC V6
204 HP@6100 RPM
24.5 KG-M TORQUE@2900-5500 RPM
7-SPEED 7-GTRONIC AUTOMATIC

fog lamps with chrome surround and 2 vertical chrome bars
high gloss piano black wood trim
avantgarde lettering
different radiator grille with a 3-pointed star on the grill itself instead on the hood (like the amg model)
COMAND control with multimedia package
New design twin 5-spoke light alloy wheels

Its entering the e class range. So i doubt it will sell over the 325i as the price is not competetive as compared to the BMW. However its a good move as the 3.2V6 from audi (engine maybe coming had no other competitor other than the bimmer.

Waiting for the pics

Useless price for such a small car. Yet they sell. That's brand value with, almost always, new money.

Ouch!! That price hurts. Almost in the E class/5 Series territory. Wonder how they will justify it.

Nice,so they may launch the kit(Sports grille) officially in india. Power output looks good on paper and 7-G is welcome addition. Is this gearbox running on anyother Indian mercs at the moment ?

The 330i is being offered here?

With a price tag of that sort only one 3 series model will sell, the mighty 335i !

330i cannot be compared to the c230

but still its only 2 lakh for an almost 500cc more engine capacity and the excessive power.

I am a little confused over Merc's decision to bring in the C230. The 325 still wins the horsepower stakes. If Merc wanted to offer a true high-BHP alternative, they should have gone the entile mile with the C280. The engine is anyways sold in the E280 and would, probably, be cheaper to source for the C. Enthusiasts need'nt bother.....buy a stock 170BHP C220 with the 6 spped manual, throw in a tuning box and you are looking at near 200 BHP, and potentially better performance than the C230.

The C230's real standout feature though, is the 7 speed tranny.

If it is 36 lakhs on the road, then it is bang in 325i range. Lets wait for the actual onroad pricing.

When did the 330i become available for 38 on the road? Surely you mean the 325?

Wow!! very nice car. I especially liked the grill. However, the new C-class certainly is very attractive and will sell more if priced correctly. Thanks for sharing the pics sidindica.

I think the Beemer 325i is 32/33 on road delhi. Correct me if I am wrong. I dont see the need for the 3 star company to get a C230. as said a 3000cc engine doing duty on the E280 would have been better and meaner.

I kind of liked the Exterior looks of it (the new grille) but the interiors are not so impressive.

And first and foremost why the C 230 after the 325? Merc could have got a better one i guess??
