Tata Motors in talks with Miljobil for e-car

Tata Motors joins the league of international automobile companies which are developing vehicles based on alternative, environment-friendly technologies. The company is understood to be in talks with a Norway-based company Miljobil Grenland to develop an electric car, sources familiar with the project said. Electric car, or e-car, is the new super kid in the world of automobiles.

TATA is in a great position to develop different drivetrains for their nano. It can use the same production facilities to develop such cars and should work out a lot cheaper than cars like Reva.
Hope TATA will make use of nano for air/electric/fossil fuels and pass on cost benefits to customers.

I think, they are launching the Indica Vista with electric engine in Norway. Bigger Batteries, Motors and Cheaper Power will make it a practical car for them.

why not in India too????
they sure can get a huge market if they can price them in the reva price bracket.
everyone considering the Reva but let down by its look will buy vista anyday.
