Is there something that I am missing out here, I do not much understand the intention of this thread.

To me a Vehicle is a "designed" system. For me the brakes or exhaust for the Civic is not going to work in any other car. Or are we only speaking about the cosmetic aspects of a vehicle.


DSG and all is fine, but I am still in love with a nice slotting column mounted shift and I have it in my garage.

Now if this is about what sort of a car I would like, ask Toyota to manufacture the AE86 Corolla here and sell it for under 5 lakhs. Being an old design doesn't matter as long as it always rocked in the first place.

It's a fun thread. What if we could integrate the best aspects of what we like and put a car together. It could be cosmetic or functional. Doesn't matter.

Don't get into technicalities of how would you mate an X engine with Y gearbox and Z exhaust. Just make your comprehensive car.

maybe an indian manufacturer looks at the thread and gets more of an idea of what the consumer wants...

why do so many people like the Civic wipers? I have a civic and i find the wipers to be one of the least functional aspects of the car.

It is more of a wishlist - different cars have different strengths. I can think of - say, the Verna's CRDi engine with the Fiesta's handling with the Safari's seats and ride comfort. With an automatic transmission, please. Body shell - sedan, rest who cares? Made by Tata.

I remember some:
SLR Esteem, Nissan 350 Esteem, Smart Santro and what not.

But I think its a nice thread.
