Bootleg Maybach Spotted

Was turning onto the road along Ulsoor lake when I saw this huge limo go past, first glance it looked like a Maybach - black on maroon and the rear lights looked identical. It was dark, so it was a literal glance. In true T-bhp style, I took up pursuit in the Vtec - car was heading towards Commercial street to Cubbon road - caught the plat MH 04 XX 3466.

As it was going uphill, it seemed to be "struggling" uphill for a 12 cyl monster. As it turned, it looked very w124'ish in window frame profile. With no effort, the Vteccaught up.

It was clearly a frankinstein meets w124 for a stretch then Maybached. Lights where from a Rover 400, never saw the front. As with most aftermarket stretch jobs - you could see some body flex here and there.

I opened it thinking it was some sort of a maybach.. he he ...

I think i saw the same car today morning near leela while i was coming back from hebbal. didnt get to see it properly. just caught the car turning into airport road and go towards ring road while i turned right.

Looked sort of out of proportion to me. Like it was too long i thought of the dashund (not sure of the spelling... the long dog) on seeing it.

Slightly offtopic:

Is there some law that can be used to prevent people from putting another marque's symbol on their definitely inferior car/automobile? I mean it gets irritating seeing Mercedes Autorickshaws and BMW 800s.

Its a Merc 124 stretched n modded to look like a Maybach.Its a Dc Design effort.Had done a couple of them for bangalore clients.
