37KW, 120kmph two seater Reva

Got this news from today's Hindu.

Reva has been launched as a two seater model capable of doing a top whack of 120 kmph. It was launched in monaco. Hindu carried a snap of the same. Cant comment on the looks of it. But IMHO it looks better than the present Reva. It has been designed by DC and has drawn heavily from the Smart i guess...

I have put it in International cars section because this was launched in Monaco. Mods please move the thread to Indian car scene if this is not the right place.

Topic moved to "Indian Car Scene". It's still an Indian made vehicle even if it was launched in Monaco ;-)

Guys

i observed a problem in the reva from a very practical aspect.. esp for ppl staying in mumbai/bangalore n likes.

How many of us staying in mumbai have a flat or office at the ground floor??

Why I am askin this is coz the reva needs a plug point to charge.

If i stay at the 10 floor having my office also at say 5th floor, where on planet earth do i charge my car?

Also, is the battery removable?

Even if yes, how feasible it is for me to carry it home in the evening to charge and again in the morn to fix back it in the car?

I have found this trivial issue imp.. ur views??

Scud.. there's a guy in my apt building, stays on 1F and got a 15 amp point wired from his flat to his parking lot.. got a lock over it so nobody else can steal power

Removing the battery for charging is not a feasible option at all, unless you are into serious weight lifting and (human) body building

C'mon guys...there are only so many different things you can do with a car which has such a tiny wheelbase. Let's not be unreasonably harsh on DC.

Thanked: Once

Apart from rest of the things like design chor, and the max speeds and stuff

With a view to the ever spiralling fuel costs , i would never mind getting this car

very economical ,charge for 8 hours and drive for 80 kms

not bad at all

I wonder how many people actually own a Reva in power-starved Kerala. No offence to the Reva,it's a great car in it's own right, but would seem more feasible in cities like Bangalore and other metros......
