To me actually Dzrire looks better than Swift (frankly Swift looks awesome from certain angles but from some other angles it looks liked a Toad! But its just me perhaps)
The C Pillar is the one that makes the Dezire undesirable with its huge stuck boot bottom- look at this other version where the boot merges with the main frame it definitely looks more oomph than the current Dzire:

Just a clarification. This is NOT the "other" version but a photo shopped image of the Swift on how the Swift Sedan would look like. Pretty old picture.

I know what you mean but IMO its primarily due to the raised clearance to avoid scraping it on speedbreakers. Look at the Swifts sold abroad. Fatter tyres and a lower stance. They look insane! But all in all, we get a design that is still very good in its own right.
I think addition of this spoiler has done wonders to the otherwise ugly rear of the car. What do you think?
Can anyone else think of any other modifications to make this otherwise very VFM car look more palatable?
i dont think any amount of changes can make dezire better looking. the only way is that it has to go on a diet regime!
by the way can we have some interesting ps works here on the dezire?!
I think nothing can change Dzire - Swift was designed to be a hatch.
Dzire just looks like a pregnant Swift.

I think it's time the pregnant Dzire had a (cesarian) delivery and worked at getting pregnant again and this time ensure the baby is better aligned inside the tummy/uterus!
well to me this definitely looks better than the manza.
whether it looks good or bad this is the no1 selling sedan in India.

Personally, I believe that the Dzire looks pretty decent even after just adding a set of aftermarket rims with wider tyres, as the skinny stock tyres make the car look absolutely hideous.
I would prefer Maruti Suzuki to make the Dezire the same way Tata Indigo XL was made. An increase in wheel base would not only do wonders to the looks, but would dramatically increase the interior space.
You are right, desire looks dispropotioned, it is problem with all the convertions models. Desire would have looked great if they extended 45just the boot part of (bottom only) retaining rear glass intact.
whatever we say and believe would look good but still dzire is selling and would do so without any doubts.Yes some changes would make it look more better then now.
