Linea has come in the segment and how...
Good overall package.. but there are some departments where she struggles.. But what about the existing models.. the big diesel duo - the Fiesta and the Verna...?

While I vouch for the Fiesta in the city driving and the economy (my perception) the Verna is a powermonger as well...

So which one is the best of the lot..?

Here we go again. I am waiting for the fireworks to start here.

If you want excellent straight-line acceleration, nothing beats the Verna...
If you want great cornering dynamics and handling, nothing comes close to the Fiesta, thanks to the responsive chassis..
Linea is a good car to be chauffeured around in....

that's my take on it.!.!

Personally, I would go for the Verna.... (and get the RED Koni springs installed :P handling isn't too great)

I would buy the Diesel Verna especially for its killer engine and similar price as the Linea and Fiesta.

If the price is same, then performance always wins over anything else. After all performance is what matters.

In case of getz crdi the price is higher than the swift ddis and hence you dont see that many getz crdi's around.

But Linea is a FIAT and that too underpowered so no way will I select it.
If it is petrol then Fiesta S is for me.

Cheers,
Nitin

IMO I think Linea is a new entrant and still has not been tested to be pitched against the other sedans. So this comparision is kind of irrelevant.

I second that, now the mudslinging will start and bigger, faster etc. etc. :uncontrol

After sales service, low cost spares and Insane power and acceleration Verna all the way :D

and yes a simple petes box and suspension works for 50-60k and you have the most lethal sedan !!

the rest are good in their own ways. but hey if you want to put a petrol sedan to shame you know where to look at :D

another LINEA vs the rest thread :Frustrati

How do you calculate the resale value for a vehicle that's been in the market for a month? On what basis is that rating of 4 vis-a-vis the others?

lol: :uncontrol I'm like this after reading the thread and your post...

Let the cheergirls in for some more entertainment!

Assuming your status message ("I drive way too fast" etc!) means anything, its Verna all the way.

I have driven all 3, and except looks (Linea) and handling (Fiesta) would rate the Verna better in all aspects.

Then why did you go for the Fiesta?

Contrary to much belief the linea boasts of great space and class leading features. The one thing going for linea would be the technology it has brought along. Features like blue tooth compatibility make life easy behind the wheel. The limited color option and poor Brand feedback will hurt, seems to be a set back as we are left with no choice.
Fiesta seems to enjoy the same rut too. The fiesta may be a great car to drive in the city but lacks on fronts like appeal and performance. The new fiesta has also dried up of steam.

Its here since 40 odd days. ACI had their hands on Linea last year itself and they gave an award too :uncontrol. How much time more is required for Linea to settle itself?

Since Linea is the market, comparison is inevitable. Why must Linea hide?
Other way of looking at this thread is, its Fiesta vs the rest thread or Verna vs the rest thread :D.
