Mercedes plant in CHAKAN

Mercedes-Benz inaugurated its new manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune. The new facility was completed within 13 months from the start of construction -- among the fastest green-field projects to be created. With an area of 100 acres of land and independent assembly facilities for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, the infrastructure was created to address future expansion needs, underscoring the long-term growth plans of the company in India .

Hurrycane, Amazing pics ! very detailed photos. How did your friend get these photos? Do you have any more from the passenger car assembly line? that would be interesting.

Sahil: I am checking with my friend in Pune if they allow visits will let you know.

Chaxy: He works for the automotive industry infact in a plant not in Mercedes; will check if he has more pics.
