This is a rumour I think, and assuming that this going to be true, without any real decision making power Mr BVR will find himself helpless because the way FIAT operates , he has to turn to Turin for even normal day to day operational decisions.

subbu must be crazy to make this decision which I think he is not..

BVR Subbu is planning to set up to set up a car service chain. Must say the guy has eye of identifying business where the money is.

You bet! BVR Subbu has his fingers in quite a lot of things, if rumours are anything to go by. Assembling cars, multi-brand dealerships and now service stations. He is a fiercely sharp man who will do well wherever he is.

Well this man knows where there is a need in the market..

The last I heard Jagdish Khattar too was planning something similar.

Yep, Jagdish Khattar too is working on a VC-funded multi-brand service network. A manpower agency based out of Gurgaon was looking around for people for the marketing team about a month back. Don't know current status.

Jagdish Khattar has setup his multi brand auto sales & service venture called Carnation. They have setup an office near my office on the NOIDA-Greater NOIDA expressway.

Seems to be a lucrative business stream, all the head honchos of major car companies are moving towards that.

Mr Subbu had resigned from hyundai couple of years earlier and was the head of argentum motors which had the assets of earlier daewoo plant and was planning contract manufacturing.If he has moved to fiat then fiat is really on the right track.
