Will OHC come into production again?

This afternoon I was dicussing with a senior sales guy at TVS (Authorized sales and service centre for HONDA) & was told that HONDA has plans to put the old honda city into production again. I feel they wont do this. Then what will happen to all the infrastructure that has been set for the new model. I really doubt this.

What say guys

Impossible. Unless they plan to give us NHC interiors and space with OHC performance and handling at NHC price, which will never happen.

They'll launch the NHC Vtec instead, and atleast try to get 1 step closer to OHC performance.

I think the OHC was based on this Civic.

And here are some tuned versions.

Nope its not. This Civic is much bigger and uses double wishbone suspension Front and Rear. 3 of my friends have this car (one is an Si (TypeR)). Engines are D-16 and B-16.

OHC (which uses McPherson Strut) uses bits and pieces from an even older platform but is fairly unique.

You can call it a stripped down version of your friends civic. Since the price was civic like and the body looks also similar to it as shantanu has posted..

Yeah, OHC is like an old Civic with a bit of Anaemia.

Does anybody know what the engine nomenclature for the 1.5L engine in the OHC is?

Well the Vtec is a B15C2 so the 1.5 is surely a B15xx.

The 1.3 is a 13B and the 1.5 is a B15. The VTEC is the B15 C2, as Shan2nu said. The x16x series are the Civic engines, now going to x18x.
