Ford Fiesta Limited Edition 1.4 Tdci @ 6.43 Lakhs

Guys,
Ford Fiesta Limited Edition 1.4 Tdci @ 6.43 Lakhs

Saw this half page ad from Ford in todays Hindu paper last page (Chennai edition)
Ford Fiesta Diesel being offered at 6.43 lakhs (ex- showroom)
Offer on for 15 days or stocks last.
I called up dealers for on-road price - it comes to 7.40 lakhs.(One can still bargain for some discounts or more accessories)

Its basically the Exi variant with added features like MP3 player, Height adjustable driver seat and few small things.

This offer is very similar to the Fiesta petrol that was offered for 5.55 lakhs in the month of May albeit this one is for Diesel.

the same ad has come in bangalore Times of India

however, just see which city this price applies to - since it is the ex showroom price

here in BLR i would be surprised if the On Road price comes any lower than 7.5-7.7 lacs.

Is Ford upto New Fiesta that they have started fire sale of Fiesta?

I remember Maruti tried selling Zen Estilo some or the other way and now we see New Estilo.

Nope. I dont think so. Its just stock clearance of their basic variant Exi with few features thrown in.

Ford small car will be their next new car which is expected to be launched in Feb -March 2010.

Resale perhaps? The Fusion has awful resale prices so a buyer loses a lot of money.

This is Ford's reaction to Fiesta facing heat from entry level Linea!

This is clearly an attempt to clear stock. But Ford needs to up its game if it is to stay in the Competition. Even Chevy is bringing out the Cruze.

And by the way when was the last time Ford launched a new model. Was it Fiesta or Fusion?

Fusion does not have a extra boot which most of we prefer. Plus version comes with most of the feature.

Fusion is on the way out so buying a Fiesta is always a better bet. As some one pointed out, it is a stock clearence sale of teh EXi.

IMO that's a better car than the 1.4 Tdci Fiesta.Faster too.
Still the Fiesta's value and efficiency are hard to beat.
