Whaaaaaaaaat?Santro gets lazier after 100? i'm really surprised...i own a 99 model santro and it reaches 145kmph with ease and wants more but i dont want to kill the engine. It all depends on the way you shift the gears. The way you accelerate your car in the first 4 gears will play a vital role to get the full performance of the car in the 5th gear.
Note for the Thread creator:
Santro and Swift belong to different class.comparing them will be of no use. Compare a santro with wagonR and Swift with Getz.
Santro is the best car in its class and swift is the best car in its class.

No comparision at all. Swift beats the Santro by volumes and bounds. Although the looks are not so good. But looks are only subjective right? Upgrade the swift to new tyrees and rims and upgrade santro with new tyres and rims, swift will definately outlook the santro. Power/torque wise, swift is better, handling, swift scores. We all know this. Then why are we doing the comparision???

No doubt the Swift is a better car. The only place that mattered and that is under the hood, they had to buy the engine off others(dumb FIAT who couldn't make use of their own goldmine ). Everything else has a life of its own ,vibrating gleefully with unbridled joy.

Aah what the heck. It is still the better car.....

I am outta here...

This comparison is really unfair. The Swift should be compared to the Getz or similar. This thread, in my opinion, does not merit further discussion.
