Whats the fuss about Ford diesel cars?

In recent coulple of days, there has been a lot of news about Ford's new India MD and its diesel engine (CDTI i think it is?!)..

Can anyone please throw more light on these new developments in regard to the "new" diesel technology?..

Well came across this piece of info from the web.
So, basically i think its a Ford Ikon with a CRDi engine. Their version is called TDCi(Turbo Diesel Common-rail Injection Technology).

The Ford Duratorq series of diesel engines is a world class engine.
Its not common rail but DI turbo intercooled and the reason for its
greatness is that its designed by Peugeot.

Apparantly its as trouble prone as it is smooth and powerful...lovely engine, pity about it.

Yup dude. Check out with owners of the Mondeo Durotorq - quite a few of them have issues.
