Ford Fusion 2010

Any clues about this?

2010 Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid | Official Site of the Ford Fusion + Hybrid | FordVehicles.com

The front looks like ANHC.

When is it making inroads in India?

Isn't this only sold in the Americas ?
I don't see the logical connection as to why it should be coming to India ?

My Bad. It is indeed Fusion. Thanks for correcting. Actually the looks were so different than existing Fusion, I got an impression that it is Fiesta.
I would like to see this version as Fiesta in India than the other one scheduled for 2010.
Moreoever, the site claims to have a hybrid version too.

@Anthym - Why not it should be coming to India?

yep this is a fusion not a fiesta, but again this one's not one bit like the current fusion and it's just like another different sedan variant, it isn't even clear if the fusion is more or less premium than the fiesta.

here very possibly the Fusion name is being used to convey the meaning that the car is a Hybrid. it doesnt appear to bear any resemblance to the Fusion we have been seeing here.

err!!! Isn't this the American Fusion. This competes directly against Camry and Accord. This fusion is completely different from European Fusion based on EU fiesta platform. Please do not mix both.

Its european equivalent is mondeo and we would get that mostly. Indian line-up is based on ford's EU line-up right?

Indeed, this is American fusion which was launched a few years ago, 2005 I think and ford also launched a hybrid about two years ago. Intially I think ford Taurus competed with Camry and accord, but then there were plans to scrap Taurus and ford 500 and fusion were launched. But now Taurus(2010) is also back with a bang and fusion also sells reasonable numbers.

I wish ford would launch American versions of either fusion or Taurus in India

American fusion is a sedan, may be a D segment. where as the Fusion in india is from europe, which is an MPV. They both have same name and the similarity ends there

But I dont see why hybrids are not in demand here?!

Most people in India want fuel efficient cars so that they can save up on fuel.
Hybrids do just that!

But it costs a lot to buy one. If any manufacturer can give the hybrid version at the same price or slightly higher price as the diesel version, then it will fly off the shelves in no time.

In short this car is not coming to India. Lets close the thread, there is no point in doing another hybrid vs single fuel thread.
