Sorry I couldnt really find a thread on here for the launch on the Fabia vRs. So I decided to start this one. Please merge the threads if there already is one.

Interesting news BUT I doubt they will launch it, they probably will showcase it.

What will they price it if they launch it ? 9 - 10 lacs ?

I suppose they should also launch the Laura V RS

Skoda might just show it in the Auto Expo . I dont think they have any plans to launch it.
There isint much of a market for it anyway apart from a few enthusiasts .

Even the existing basic versions of Fabia are very expensive for what they offer, The RS variant will increase the price further. Whats the point of a 10lakh rupee hatchback with a bad image and horrible after sales support?

Existing Fabia is not a favorite with the enthusiasts due to poor engines, high cost of ownership and bad pricing.

I would love to see a RS variant of Laura with souped up version of existing TSI engine, proper body kit, bigger alloys and stiffened suspension at L&K pricing.

Launching the Skoda Laura VRS at a competitive price will do a hell lot of good for Skoda right now. It's getting beaten badly by competition right now and especially by the Cruze. Fabia , well they are already on lost grounds.

The Fabia is one sweet looking hatch, only if it had better engines and better after sales.

The V RS would definitely be highly overpriced, there is no doubt about that.

I wouldn't bet on that. The Octy VRS is pretty good value for the performance it offers. The Fabia could be similar.

In fact, if Skoda goes through with this, I'd give them a huge thumbs up for resurrecting the hot hatch in India.
