A letter unposted to Skoda Auto. Dear BHPian's,
this is a letter which i wrote for Skoda India, (the brand who happens to be among the list of favourite manufacturers for me) at the time when Automobile recession was talk of the world. the letter remained unposted because i could not find any person in the organization to whom to address the letter, so its made open here.
"The so called global recession is on, and Automobile industry is strongly been affected by the same.
Automobile sales and demands has came down.
So the profit margin has lowered.
The production is affected due to same and inventory increased.
With all this everything has slowed down. The management peoples are ideal and blank, have relative lower workload.
So how the manufacturers are reacting to this,
Generaly they are minimising production's.
Lay off's given to temporary workers and projects.
Vendor's and suppliers are been forced to do the same.
Expecting towards Government for schemes and packages for survival.
I have some creative thoughts and projects which can very well be integrated and implemented for efficient survival for present as well as Future. so considering for Skoda Auto India, here it is. THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON TO DO SO IS TO GET SKODA AUTO'S MANAGEMENT PEOPLE TO GET ACTUAL PICTURE OF THERE AUTOMOBILE WORLD IN INDIA.
Skoda Auto is an multinational Automobile manufacturer brand having products range from 4.5 lac's to 25 lac's. The brand is well known for luxury, safety, build quality and efficiency. But at the same time is also infamous for costly after sales service, Spares ( costly as well as unavailibility ), warranty issues making tne brand missing its loyalty factor from the present customers affecting sales and having negative publicity.
Lets workout something like this.
Skoda Auto have approximately 53 dealer's. Every dealer will arrange a G2G ( ge-together ) for present customers at there respective dealership.
Offer free service camp, New product's display, Technical clarification's, Instant warranty settlement proggrams, Exchange and Upgrades facility, Customer clinic's for future launches, other promotional activities like Family TSD rally, Autocross, loyalties, and freebies.
and keep a special concern and suggetion section.
The above camp's can be arranged Zone wise say in a weak's time all over India, so the management peoples will be present at all the locations.
The following things are what can be achived from the given camps,
1. First and most important the dealer gets involved in this activity directly so the Skoda Auto-Dealer-Customer bonding is tightened. any communication gaps, Dealers attitude, his capabilities and malprctice, negative factors will get noticed.
2. The service and sales people, which are plenty of them in Skoda Auto, can realy have some work to do, also will get experience of actual ground level work, short comings, and lot of practical knowledge which is utmost important to tackle issues at official level.
3. The Senior Managements peoples will also have some happening topic's and concerns to tackel with, and will exactly get the clear picture of actual issues, which otherwise is very rosy for them in meetin rooms.
4. Overall Skoda Auto will for sure get closer to customer's and there needs, and gain experience which will help to revieve the policies.
This is all for Customer Satisfaction, for which any Automobile Manufaturers all over world is looking for.May be this is what a successfull Automobile manufacturer is strives for.
I also understand that Skoda Auto have far superior management peoples with them, so for them this may sound funny, criticism, and dare i say irrelevent, but this is what i have, coming straight from my heart for Skoda Auto."
