Great post, again.

I might be a minority of one, but I found the design of the SLS, from the front execrable. It looks like an American musle car and not a Merc at all.

I think ( and I mentioned it elsewhere) that the heat from BMW and now from Audi is making Merc lose its composure, making it change its design DNA rather quickly, and the results might not be all good ( at least to me).

I find the design concept of a wolf in sheep's clothing more interesting than obvious design clues/in your face design. On a similar vein I prefer Hooydonk's cues to Bangle's bungles ( pun intended)

The CLS looks good in white.

Regards

Ex-Delhi showroom cost of the SLS AMG: 1.8cr

My dad liked the new W212 E class so much, he's thinking about ditching his W203 C200K immediately.

Sweet

Only 1 question - Why the miserable colour for the SLS AMG?

That particular display car was originally conceived with the idea of catering to the Dubai market (via the DXB auto show). Obviously, you can purchase the car in any color you wish, including the paint-to-sample option available through the Mercedes exclusive program. (about 2L rupees using a direct conversion from US rates)

It's there, right in the corner of the Merc hall. The black pano roof was nicely offset by the white paint.

It's going to be available in only two colors - white and beige.

Hi

Merc's Marque clearly shows their seriousness.
Moreover I had a great experience in their stall.
The reps were very very willing to help with details & demonstrate the features.

Yes. It is was displayed there - right after the entry.

Something interesting in it -

The boot of this coupe comes with a bar counter - hidden under the floor board. Once you push few buttons, the bar counter is unveiled smoothly - first a wooden tray raises, then once you part it in the centre the tray unfolds as a wider surface. Then champagne dock pops out smoothly which holds 2 tall glasses and bottle of champagne.. awesome.

The person who gave the demo says then, " actually you may never use this.. but its a nice thing to have, right".

Would the Merc G Wagon be introduced in India ?
All what I know about this is that its hand assembled...

For me its a killer in its looks , Jeepish looks with the comfort and Luxury of a Merc !
