Yes, I agree it was available from mid of Dec 2009. I didn't tell its a 2010 specific, but its upgraded. When dealers ran out of the old model, they were selling the revised one in December 2009 itself. I too got an offer.

I will post the pics of new central console.

There is also an external change that I noticed comapared to my August end spark. The reverse lamps have been moved from the rear bumper to the tail lamp assembly which IMHO is much more practical, as I have seen a lot of Sparks with broken reverse lamps which may have been broken even with a slight bump or impact.

Please check whether you are getting all these features, before the car is registered in your name.
Here are the pictures of the new dashboard.

See the Sales figures of Chevy Spark

December 2009 - 5K+
January 2010 - 3,477

There is almost 30% reduction in the Spark sales in January compared to December 2009 while all its competitors gained (Alto or WaganR or Estillo). GM can escape the situation by pointing the newly launched Beat and the pricing overlap.

This argument is partially true (especially in higher range), but not in every case. A substantial percentage of the customers may have considered a non GM option - especially at the entry and middle level and may have end up in booking an Alto, Santro, Wagan R or even an Indica.

In this matter GM has to learn more from Maruti - How they are managing each SBU from 800 to SX4 without overlapping the price. GM should not have hiked the price of a best selling model in favor of a newly launched model. For success, its important to keep all segments of customers engaged and happy - by offering one-one product / model affordable to each and every prospect.
