Manufacturing Defects/Problems in cars sold here.

I know there has been a thread long ago about a similar topic, but was closed my moderator for good, as it was turning out to be a bashing thread lacking contributing material.

I am creating this one again as an awareness, so that manufacturer can improve their product and do not take advantages of customers, who are still in infant stages in India in term of auto-saviness . Please do contribute and discuss the matter, but please do add images along with it to support your theory.
Plus the defects should be universal, and one in a million defects or problems, I advice you to create a separate thread in ownership experience thread.

I start with a Vehicle which is used mostly as a commercial ones, but many are using it with a 'F' registered white plates (Firm registered private in Rajasthan) too.
This is one of the reason, and my personal one at that, i hate Mahindra.

Make no mistake this is the original two year old vehicle, with no accident history and original factory body work.

Mahindra MAXX. at nearly 6.6lac on road this is not a cheap vehilce. I will not expect this from a company who i heard is planning to make aircraft.

This is how they widened the body

The extra 1.5 feet is added to an already existing Mahindra Commander body to lengthen it in a cheap way.

Same as Image one

Same as image two, they never bothered to relocate the fuel filler.

I am the greenest company! i can use the extra metal plate that was left from previous work! kyon faikna.??

I can use that on roof too. lolz.
Check the rust cropping on a two year old vehicle.

Even they cannot do an arch in a single press. WHat a shame!

TATA Indica / Indigo or Marina.

As you can see the car has not taken a hit yet the fog cladding gave away just like that. i confirmed with the owner it was nicked but simply gave away on the highway.

My advice, its just locked there with a plastic lock. Fix it properly with elfy or some improvisation with chisel type screws.

This is a simple parts but availability can be unbelievably scarce even in bigger city like jaipur and can take days to get. as dealership is not bothered with these small parts. All in all its looks ugly with it being missing.

the one posted by you is a good one, but i could have never imagined the keyword for the title. it not titled properly.

PS: i will tell mods to merge the two and keep my title instead. lets see if its possible for them

I have heard all those who buy Amby taxis get the door-frame weld joints reinforced before setting off. What can you expect from the Maxx?commercial vehicles would only get such treatment

Same goes with Mahindra DI, here in rajasthan they modd the leaf and suspension system. They had a higher rate of toppling on highway here.

it was there in almost all pre 2004 models. i am not sure if they improved in the newer models.
