Road Taxes to go up in Tamilnadu

I have received info that the road taxes in Tamilnadu is increasing by 2% from April. Received this info from the sales person of the Honda show room. He informed that Honda will be giving the current price untill the end of this month.

u might wanna double check on that one. The excise on cars just went up by 2%... thats a central tax. Road tax is a state tax.. so if thats gonna go up, then its a added hit of 2%

Karnataka just hiked it up. Its already pretty expensive here in Karnataka and now its gone through the roof :(

I didn't see TN's budget being announced.

I remember last hike in Tamil nadu was on 2008 to 8%. Increase in road tax+excise duty + interest will demoralise the automobile industry/

What is the present Road Tax %, Registration fee, green tax etc., in Tamilnadu now? I just want to know whether my dealer quote is right or not? Please help.
