Use your JV with Nissan to borrow Suzuki's 1.2Ltr petrol engine which is doing its duty in Eco and don't forget to try hard for 1.2 K-Series before settling down with 1.2Lts Eco's engine.

If thats difficult the here is Plan 2, discard Logan and get the Sendero

Micra will have a 1.2 litre 79 bhp petrol engine. So why go to suzuki?!

small correction! might be considered off topic! the EEco is running on a 1.1 liter engine, not a 1.2. K series engines are remarkable!

Correction again - The Eeco is running a downsized version of the G13B 1.3L engine found in the Versa and Swift. Its engine block has been modified to reduce the displacement to under 1200cc.

I think it is better to borrow the Micra's brand new 1.2L that is already being produced in Chennai rather than run behind Maruti for this old-generation Eeco engine/new K-series.

I heard Micra's will be a 3-pot, hence said Eco's 1.2 or 1.2K-Series. Eco's 1.2 to keep the cost down and 1.2K-Series if they want to compete with other B+ segment cars.

No, Eco's is a 1196cc engine = 1.2ltrs

I heard that this was just an experimental vehicle to understand the result of chopping off the boot. I'm not sure if it can be taken seriously but since Mahindra-Renault have revealed that all the things are getting resolved, their final announcement will come in mid-April.

Does Renault or Mahindra think by chopping off the boot and reducing 30 K they will bring in more customers? Wishful thinking.

Logan needs to improve the looks of exterior, and the interiors too. Its better for for Renault to change the name too since Logan name is a big dud in the market currently. They need a better diesel engine. And lastly they need a price correction much more than the 30-40 K they are thinking about.

A smaller boot will relieve Mahindra-Renault of the only Logan customers today i.e. CABS! I hope M-R aren't seriously thinking that a shorter Logan will finally bring them success.
