But I am doubtful that the price will decrese from the current Petrol version. Because in India most of the diesel versions are priced higher than their petrol counterparts.(Though Skoda has had this attitude to price diesel and petrol alike which is good).

What is the current price of the petrol ? Didn't they reduce it to around 20-22 ?

Firstly,
Skoda should assemble the car here in it's plant and reduce the price to 20L.
Then, with some aggressive marketing and quotes from owners and experts get the sales to increase to about 50+ units and then only should it launch the diesel to boost sales.

Re: Skoda Superb Diesel

Hi, bought a used Skoda Superb 2.5 TDi - 2008 model. Want to upgrade the music system from the current factory fitted CD player. Want to install a reversing camera. The car has done 36000 kms. Will change the tires in another 4-5000 kms. Dont plan to upsize. Any recommendations ? Thanks

Hi Cardope,

Welcome to Team Bhp.

You could try out the "Caska" Head unit which has all the things put together right from Reverse Camera to Navigation. It is expensive in India, but if you have a "Chinese connection", it will work out to be cheaper.

Hi cardope,

Congrats on the car.

Looking forward to your ownership thread of this lovely car and also buying experience. There has been a lot of talk about Skoda's service and long term reliability issues, so it would be great to follow your experience. I have a Skoda Laura and I love the car and would like to keep in touch with all Skoda owners on how things go + I have bought a used Hyundai Tucson (2005 model) and I think used car market offers really good value proposition if searched carefully. Hence, requesting you to start a detailed thead on your car.

Cheers!

You will have to get a one of those single din touch screens, where the screen folds out of the HU since that Superb has only a single din slot. You can attach aux, and a reversing camera to it.

Thanks. It is in the 35-40K range if I am not mistaken. But then the steering mounted audio controls would work. Any options apart from Caska ?

Speak to our fellow member Bass&Trouble. His name is Ajay, you can PM him. He will sort out your ICE.

As for tyres, what is the stock size? 215/55 R16 or something isn't it?
