IF ford is planning to launch the ecosport somewhere in the amaze price range then i see no future for the fiesta hatch!! If not then the fiesta may be launched but to differentiate the two will be difficult.The ecosport is built on the fiesta platform and has similar interior design, space of the current fiesta.

And you're right, if the pricing is similar, the hatch won't survive.
But, either way, the Fiesta hatch did very well abroad, and if it was available in India with a diesel engine, it would less rather well in the country.
Ultimately, all depends on the EcoSport. All eyes of on that car of the Ford Line Up at the moment, hence, if Ford manages to get it placed well, they might have an early Christmas on their hands with both the EcoSport and the Fiesta!
Ford is taking so looong to launch the Ecosport and Mr cartechmaniac wants us to believe that the Fiesta hatchback is expected to launch in July2013 and that too only with the ecoboost engine. What is that guy smoking?
