Measurement of in-cab noise

While our mainstream car magazines do fairly comprehensive measured testing of cars that are available in India, one aspect which I find missing is objective measurement of in-cab noise / sound level.

Ever since I can remember, C&D and R&T always reported this.

For example :

or

R&T
http://www.roadandtrack.com/var/ezfl...ba0b66f924.pdf

I believe that the Indian consumer is getting more and more aware, and that we should ask for these actual measurements from the mags.

Perhaps they can even tell us, how these sound levels are measured !

What do you think ?

Cheers,
