Maruti Stockyard At Nagpur According to The Hitavada, a Nagpur newspaper report dated 20/08/2010, Maruti (MSIL) intends to construct a huge stockyard at Butibori Industrial Estate, about 30 kms away from Nagpur for speedy delivery of cars to their respective destinations.Senior officials from MSIL had visited the area on 18/08/2010 and have finalised acquisition of about 100 acres of land. The stockyard will accommodate about 25,000 vehicles and according to MSIL, this can ensure speedier deliveries of specific models, variants and colours, as customers are seen switching over to other brands seeing the longer waiting time for some Maruti models.
The company is also planning to invest Rs 200 crores to construct similar stockyards in the North, South, East and West, apart from this one in Central India.Bangalore has been earmarked in the South with an area of 25 acres of land for a stockyard.
These stockyards according to MSIL will help it further consolidate its position in the market. |
