Really? Thats good news. What about new dezire based on the new swift? Can we expect that too by the same time?

I was taken aback seeing the following test drive link which at the end says, India will be getting the car by Next year only. Felt that India, though the biggest market for Suzuki, is being given a stepmotherly attitude.

It is already released in Japan.

There is already an active thread running on the first impressions. Merging this may be contemplated by mods.

Long story short - never believe sales people. Second, don't be surprised if they have new dzire ready as well. Maruti has its back against the wall and ther swift/dzire is their single most important model. More than wagon R and alto also

maruti may launch the new swift early next year according to my source. The new swift will replace the current model, but will be slightly high priced. the current swift pricing will be lowered.. the pricing levels will be, older swift will be priced less than ritz and then the newer swift will be higher than both swift and the ritz. more towards the i20 territory.

Maybe thats why Bimal Maruti in bangalore fast laned it for me:Shockked:. I paid my deposit for the VDi in early August and delivery is around 6th September.

Wow! Great news. Could you please confirm if is sells along with the old Swift? And any info on pricing? I somehow have the feeling that Maruti will mess up with the pricing this time.

According to me, the old Swift and new Swift should not sell together because:
1. They are likely to have the same engine.
2. The new Swift is a hint bigger than the old one.
3. The new Swift has to sell as a "Swift" and not as any other car. Just the brand value and reputation.
4. This is purely my opinion, but I don't think a Swift will sell if priced alongside an i20.
