SCOOP pics- VW Vento 1.4?

A friend of mine caught this camoe'd vento on the Mumbai-Pune expressway. Seems like VW is coming up with a new engine option for Vento?

Zooming into the last picture, it looks like it has double barrel headlamps like that in the European Vento.

P.S: I remember there was a thread on the Vento 1.4. But I couldn't find it.

Hmmm, there was a discussion about this in one of the threads. I seriously doubt VW are going to retain the double barrel headlamps unless its a sport version, but then again VW is extremely good at hiding stuff untill release.

Lets pray and hope for a turbo-petrol to compete with the Linea T-Jet.

PS: In the second last photo, is there a "P" on the fuel lid??

Wouldn't the car have attracted much less attention if it hadn't been cameod?
I mean why dress up a regular production car and suggest to the world that there's something cooking?!
Or is this VW idea of some free publicity for the Vento?

Imagine how awesome it would be if they launched a 'S' version of the polo with a 1.4 TSi

I'd love it!

Great catch, btw!

To me it seems that the car has got protective covering on it.
May be this is an export product being manufactured in India (just an assumption).

The reason I say this is because of the manner in which the covers are placed, mostly on places where there can be a chance of damage.

Also I think there are 3 or could be more ventos in total.

Is that a line of vento's in the first picture?
I dont think its for export, with such large backlogs in the current market i guess they will try to solve that first.
