Mercedes-Benz G-Class in India by Q12011.

So here it is everyone, the finest announcement in terms of an SUV launch ever, you got the news right here on Team-Bhp first,

By Q12011 the G-Wagen will officially be launched in India, I do not have pricing details etc. which we will know once they are launched, and 7 cars are already in the pipeline, they are up for booking if anyone wants they are not sold nor has this annoucement been made public.

The model for India will be limited to only the G55 AMG, while the 320CDI is also now possible in RHD, but I believe to retain the exclusive factor and also the insanely brutal factor I am glad Mercedes-Benz India is only getting the AMG version.

Yeah about the exclusive factor, but not bringing the 320cdi will chase away a lot of potential buyers.

Its really a very good news for all of us, especially to all the off-roading fans which are here. But I don't think so that Mercedes Benz India will be producing G-Wagons here, so they can be direct imports due to which pricing will be very high & if they were built as CKD units, then it will be good as the pricing will be reduced by some extent.
But why Mercedes Benz India is just getting AMG version which is almost 20-25% expensive than regular versions ??
(Older versions of G-Wagon will be helpful to Indian Army also or we can also have Force Gurkha's as M & M MM550's replacement in Army which has built exactly like old generation G-Wagon.)

This is a very special product, infact it is sourced also from the Mercedes-Benz special product division, and honestly considering the less volume niche product this is, it only makes sense to have it in the best trim, and believe me the deliverys and allocations for India are so low that they will least be worried about who they chase away by not getting the CDI motor, also most inquiries for the G has always been for the AMG.

One of the finest cars in the world gets one of the best ever facelifts, and also a new model the G65 AMG!

The G63 AMG becomes the first G-Class to benefit form the bi-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine. It generates 544 PS (400kW / 536hp) and 760Nm (560lb-ft) of torque and features the ECO start/stop system. The G65 AMG also continues to bless the line up with its 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine that generates 612PS (450kW / 603hp) but will cost nearly twice as much with a price tag of €264,180
