Random people have been asking me if I am selling my Thar (facelift V1 model, 2016) and how much I would let it go for. A couple even gave their number and asked to call them if I ever decide to sell.

Can someone help me with the price of these?

Details
1. Beautiful, shiny no accident Thar CRDe 2016 in red color with hard top. 53000 kms done. I am the 4th owner, the first owner sold the car back to dealer at 18k, second/third owner was an IT guy and drove it till 33k before I bought from him in 2020. Minor scratches on the bumper but nothing serious. Regular services done. The car has never needed anything out of ordinary and has been bulletproof,
2. Alloy wheels
3. Stage 1+ tune by WolfMoto. Fantastic response and surprisingly fast across the range.
4. No leaks, no cracks on the hard top - it was installed with love and care with a lot of time invested.
5. Central locking
6. Hella fog lamps.
7. Needless to say, but everything works as expected.

Expect 6 lacs if its a 10/10 Mechanically, but the 4th owner would be hard point to sell.

There is a X1 from a known source for sale. Its 2018 model, only about 5k on the odo. The owner is a senior citizen and I know him well (works with me). He has two cars but doesn't drive them both. I have seen him getting the car to work like once in 10 days. No highway drives either. Thats why the low odo. I haven't seen the car in person yet. Its a diesel and he doesn't know the variant but told me its not the top end. I believe the X1 then had expedition , Msport and Xline. Assuming this is an Xpedition, How much should I offer him for this car? Pls note car is in Bangalore.

The cars listed on OLX are in the ballpark of 25 lakhs and up, the new X1 has a bigger lcd screen and that's about it. The new one is 60, so about 24 seems right because of the low running, not sure what kind of buffer is needed for unexpected repairs. The car is 6 years old and some nasty surprises should be expected, first a new set of tyres, then whatever goes wrong.

I am looking to get a Corolla Altis VL Auto here in Delhi NCR. I have seen 7 cars in the past two months but rejected them due to various reasons (meter tampering, multiple panels replaced, objectionable service history - yes i checked for all seven of them thoroughly).

I have of budget between 5.5 to 6.5L for a 2015/16 variant. Is this budget fine or am I expecting too much?

I see some dealers are quoting prices of upwards of 10L for a 2016 model which I feel is absolute nuts.

Lastly, any specific things I need to look at before finalizing an Altis ?

You should get a used Toyota Corolla Altis with AT for around 6.5 to 8L for 2016 or 2017 year make model for a well maintained one. I was also in the market for the same model in Mumbai, however I dropped out due to personal issues.
Before buying make sure that you get the service records from the ASS and take a trusted FNG mechanic with you for making the assessment before going ahead.

What is a fair price for a 2012 Etios Liva GD in Bangalore? The car is regularly serviced and was not in any major accident.

Thanks,

Yes I have been doing the same before ( when I checked the last 7 cars ). The price jumps leaps when I enquire about the 2017 and further variants, majorly because there was a facelift. One of the reasons I am limiting myself to 2016 to stay in the budget. Here Post 2017 models are listed for more than 11L rupees.

Cheers

A price quote of 11L is expensive for sure and in my opinion is not worth the purchase. The main reason for the premium pricing could be due to brand value and the whatever the models are available in the second hand markets are immediately sold off. If possible try to reduce the prices around 9L at the most and even that is expensive by the current standards. Alternatively would suggest to hop on to other brands like VW, HONDA etc where you possibly would likely to get a better deals.

We're expecting our hycross next week, and letting go of our trusty 2014 Innova as we can't have a 3 car garage.

2014 Innova top Z variant, 7 seater with 1.28k on the odometer.
Toyota ASS maintained
Brand new Yokohama tyres
Rear suspensions and battery recently changed.
MH43 registered.

Please share what you feel is a fair amount for this old partner of ours.

Well... It also depends upon how the exterior and interior condition is. But considering it is 10 year old Innova and the miles clocked on the odometer, I think 7 to 9 Lakhs would be a right deal.

What is a reasonable price to expect for a well maintained Bangalore registered Oct-2018 Honda City VX automatic, run 62000kms, with sunroof, 6-month old tyres ?

Folks any thoughts on whether 41 lacs is reasonable for a HR registered, Jan-22 bmw 330li under extended warranty? Done 39k on odo.
Seems to be in good condition though the running does show with a little on the exterior.
Any tips on checking the car thru bmw or otherwise?
And finally - pls share some recommendations for a reliable agent / contact to help with the car transfer formalities at RTO (in case I go ahead with this).
