Thanks Asit! Yes, I did check the service records with the service centre and they confirmed the same odo reading as well. Owner was moving abroad and hence the sale. We went ahead and bought the vehicle.

Thanks,
Varun

Congratulations! I guess this is the same car my friend was talking about. He too had mentioned that the owner was leaving abroad. Anyway as he said the car was in real good condition. drive safe :)

Hi one addition for Used Car price tool could storing the search location in memory, so when a User does a search again query, they have to just add the information for the car.

You could also add a field to enter mileage. For example: a User would use this tool, when they have shortlisted a particular car, and would like to see the market price for it. 2010 Maruti Suzuki VDI ABS with 40K kms, is the soret of search users would like specific price ranges in making their decisions.

Also add a Standard image of the car.

Which variant of the Civic is it?
When you say "like new", do you mean a scratchless/dent less car, no accidental repairs ever, almost new tires, new battery, new brake pads, all fluid levels perfect & recently replaced, recently serviced, very clean interiors, etc?
More info required on the car.

Keep in mind that due to the model being discontinued, it being a petrol & due to low ground clearance issues, a used Civic would probably go for lower than expectations.

yes, scratchless, 1.8s variant manual transmission.

New brake pads, both front & rear, changed less than 3000 kms ago. New engine mounting, changed 1200 kms ago, i.e. About 2 months, new battery, changed last month.

Had done regular interior cleaning , every 10k kms.

No maintainence required. :)

I wanna sell it just because its too low for my dad to get in .

Around 3.5L - give or take 20-25k - would be a fair price to expect for that Civic.

Based on your description, the car does sound to be in a very good condition & well maintained. Expect not less than 3.5 lakhs. A fair value would be around 3.75 (for Delhi, where prices are low) but I think it will lose some value since its discontinued but nothing less than 3.5

Though, isnt the Honda recommended service interval like 3 months or 5k kms (not sure about the Civic)? Still shouldnt lose any value because of this, 10k kms is good enough.

Thanks guys! Lets see what price I am able to get. I got cleaned at 10 k kms as it was used sparingly, esp, since i got my Fortuner. Also, used synthetic oil, so 10 k kms service interval, it was rather done after every 6-8 months, irrespective of the running, as the total running is just 47300 kms till now.

Did Swift come in ZDI trim in Aug 11, or was it Dzire?

IIRC, New Swift in ZDI trim was launched on 22nd Aug.11, and I got mine on 25th Aug.11. Bought it for 6.96 OTR.

Hi,
we've been shopping for an automatic Honda for a few weeks now, but just as we were about to finalize on a car, I wanted to check one last time with the local (Bangalore) Auto Terraces, the used car divisions of the Honda showrooms.

Turns out, one of them told me about an owner willing to sell his 2012 City V-AT off and is quoting Rs. 8,25,000 at 9500Kms. Now that sounds like a deal too good to believe. The Auto Terrace guy himself says the car is in a great condition as one'd expect.

I want to know if there are any gotchas I should be looking for when I visit there tomorrow: masking a test drive vehicle, showroom owner driven, unregistered vehicle (I heard something like this from a VW dealer) - or any such thing.

Can someone help me with what to expect? Thanks!

Apart form the usual checks, specifically regarding the question mentioned above I would suggest you check out the name of the owner as mentioned in vehicle books. Get the name and do an online search of the name. Mostly some detail has to pop up (Facebook, LinkedIn etc).
Also check out the service history, either owner should be having the documents or you can check with Honda showroom to get the same.

Friends, need your advise on finding good price range for selling my fiesta. I have a Ford Fiesta 1.6 SXI, ABS (petrol)- Dec, 2009 model. Excellently maintained, ( as you'd expect from BHPian) 43k Kms, leather seats, new Michelin tyres, complete service history available. The best price that I am getting from dealer is 2.7 L. My expectation is closer to 4L
