Please help me figure out a fair price for which I could sell my car. Here's the details

Model : Hyundai Accent GLX (2001) - Top end variant at that time
No. of Owners: 3 (Including me)
Registration : Chennai - Redhills (TN20)
Kms done till date : 53000
Condition : 1.visually not so good with day to day scratches
2. shod with Yoko A535s after which the car has done around 10000 Kms
3. recently changed major parts of a/c circuit from torona motors and have
warranty for the same
4. FE : 10~12 Kmpl in city, 15 Kmpl in Highways with a/c ON

Car runs in petrol.

Seems like a good price. I recently sold my Tata Vista diesel (airbags and ABS), just 18 months old with under 20K kms for 3.5 lakhs and that too in a trade in!

Why dont you go for a Fiesta S with only 39000 on the odo. In impeccable condition for only about 3.45 L ?

A sedan for the price of a used Alto

SUV100 - I sold my Cruze AT for 10 lakhs. Thats about what you can expect, mine had done 28k only. In fact that was the best offer that I got and the lowest offer that I got was 8.5 lakhs. Hope that helps.

A friend in Bangalore is selling his 2 year 2 month old Verna 1.6 SX VTVT (Petrol). Done about 22,000 kms, in pristine condition with no issues, regular servicing and single owner vehicle.

Sold my second hand santro xing 2007 model, which I had purchased in 2009 for 2.4 lakhs, this month for 1.3 lakhs.

Pending repairs for the vehicle were a broken front bumper, broken front headlight, and a clutch plate change, which I informed to the buyer.

Was pleasently surprised at the selling rate. I was expecting around 80,000

@ Chennai I have seen the below deals for the same variant and model year you have mentioned.
30k done car sold for around 4l one year back.
65k done car sold for around 3l 1 month back.
Both were company maintained cars owned by colleagues at office.

I started with a dealer and asked him for the quote. He gave me 8.5 to 9.5 as a quote. That as base put up ad in olx and quickr for 11. Sold the car directly to buyer and not to dealer. Dealer will always reduce the price by 1lakh as their margin.

It's a mouth watering deal sir. If I was in the market then I would've sealed this deal eyes closed, but unfortunately I am searching for my brother whose daily usage is quite high, so I am hunting for a pre-owned Diesel hatchback. :)

Guys need your valuable suggestions regarding purchase of a pretty worshipped jazz.

I am on the look out to purchase my first car. I decided to go for a used car as my options are limited in the 5.5L budget wrt safety features. Most of the examples I come across are i20s and high mileage swift zxi. Recently a Honda jazz has caught my eyes.

Price:4.4L negotiable.

What is a good price to pay for such a car? The carwale.com suggester gives a qoute in similar price range. Also what kind of expense am I looking at for a jazz that has run 30k? Tire, brake pads change etc.

Also will the jazz be considerably more expensive to run, service and maintain compared to swift, i20 or a new wagon r? What about spares cost and availability? Any place I can access the parts list?
